JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) organised Natiya Mushaira at K L Saigal Hall, here on Wednesday.
Arsh Sehbai, renowned Urdu poet presided over the function in which Aseer Kishtwari, eminent Urdu and Kashmiri poet was the Chief Guest.
Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary JKAACL and Liyaqat Jaffri were also present in the presidium.
While delivering his presidential address, Arsh Sehbai appreciated the academy for organising Natiya Mushaira on the occasion of Ramzan. He also appreciated the participating poets for their respectful tributes paid to the Almighty through their ‘Naats’.
Aseer Kishtwari hoped to organise such more activities in future.
The poets who participated in today’s Natiya Mushiara include Satish Vimal, Aseer Kishtwari, Sarwar Chouhan, Aarsh Dalmotra, Sham Talib, Liyaqat Jaffri, Arsh Sehbai, Rehamat Banihali, A.K Naaz, Pyare Hatash and Prem Nath Shad.
The proceedings of the Mushiara were conducted by prominent Urdu poet Liyaqat Jaffri and Dr Arvinder Singh Amn presented vote of thanks. The programme was supervised by Anil Tickoo, Assistant Cultural Officer, JKAACL.
