REASI: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages (JKAACL) on Thursday announced the result of three-day On the Spot Children Music Competition held from August 28 to 30, 2018 at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Reasi.
This event was organised in collaboration with Director School Education, Jammu.
Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary JKAACL, while announcing the results, said that for the first time academy decided to organise On the Spot Music and Painting Competitions in all districts of Jammu region and since last year such events are being organised as regular activity.
In On the Spot Music Competition held at Reasi total 30 schools participated in which the students from the upper reaches and far flung area also participated.
More than 75 students of Infant, Junior, Senior and Amateur Group of the age of 6 to 21 years participated.
In Amateur Group Vishal Singh of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Reasi secured first prize of Rs 2,100, second prize of Rs 1,500 to Bharti Devi of Government Girl Higher Secondary School Reasi and third prize of Rs 1,200 to Preeti Devi of GHSS Reasi.
In Senior Group Ritika of GHSS for Girls Reasi secured first prize of Rs 1,500, second prize of Rs 1,200 to Tanvi of TSN Reasi and three equal consolation prizes of Rs 600 went to Sourav Bali of Higher Secondary School for Boys Reasi, Meenakshi of Govt. Middle School Aghar Ballain and Guntas Kour of Girls High School Pouni.
In Junior Group first prize of Rs 1,050 went to Suhani Thapa of Govt Girl Higher Secondary School Reasi, second prize of Rs 825 to Saloni Sharma of Bharti Vidhya Mandir, Reasi and three equal consolation prizes of Rs 450 to Upsana Khanna, Megha Singh and Monika Thakur of Govt. Girl Higher Secondary School Reasi
In Infant Group three equal consolation prizes of Rs 750 to Shreya Anthal of Lawrance Public School Reasi, Shivangi Rajput of Bharti Vidya Mandir and Sonakshi Sharma of Trikuta Shiksha Niketan Reasi.
The jury members who gave their judgement include Manoj Bakshi, Vishal Gupta, Kuldeep Saproo for Infant and Junior Group, Darmesh Nagotra, Rakesh Anand, Anjusa Sharma for senior group and for amateur group Suraj Singh, T.R Sharma, Kamal Sharma. The rhythm was provided by Dharmpal (Harmonium), Kartik Kumar (Dhlok), Chaman Lal (Harmonium), Joginder Pal (Tabla), Girdhari Lal Sharma (Harmonium), Naresh Sharma (Tabla). This On the Spot Music Competition was coordinated by Bishan Dass, Assistant Culture Officer JKAACL under the overall supervision of Editor Punjabi Popinder Singh Paras.
The members of Cultural Committee constituted by Director School Education consisted of Devi, Akram Khan and Rakesh Kumar supervised by Dr. Sushma Rani from Office of Director School Education Jammu proved to be an asset in organising this competition.
