STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: On the call of Chairman J&K Chapter Indian Institute of Insurance Surveyors and Loss Assessors (IIISLA) Ravi Dhar and by K.B Manchanda from Delhi, J&K surveyors on Monday staged a protest at Bahu Plaza Jammu against the exposure draft issued by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDA) about regulations which is very harmful for all surveyors and loss Assessors of India as well as for customers and insurance industry. Rajesh Gupta said that it has been country wise protest on November 18, 19 and 20, 2019 and in this connection all surveyors joined camera down strike for of Jammu and Kashmir to support the protest at Jantar Mantar, Delhi. He further said that private company is allotting survey work to non-technical persons which is harmful for them. Sudarshan Choudhary on behalf of all Independent surveyors and Loss Assessors urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene and help in withdrawing the draft issued by IRDA regarding appointment and deployment of self employed surveyors by private insurance companies. The surveyors present in the protest include Alok Mahajan, Sanjay Tagotra, Satpal Goel, Kher Singh, S.L Gupta, Rajesh Sharma, Satish Sharma, Roopak Sohi, N.K Tagotra, Charanjeet Singh, G.S Modi, A.P Sangra, Rahul Khajuria, Manish Sawhney, Vikas Tagotra, Goutam Gandotra and Parlimal.
