STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: JK Public School (JKPS) Panjtirthi on Thursday celebrated World Peace Day to strengthen the ideals of peace and promote unity. Bhupinder Pannu sensitised the audience about the sufferings of war and its impact on human kind. Few Jakians recited a poem on the topic ‘Peace is the strongest weapon’. Principal JKPS Panjtirthi, Suman Banbah said, “A Key ingredient in building culture of peace is education. The youth of today deserve a radically different education-the education which can inculcate moral values, patience, cooperation and confidence among students.” Jakians demonstrated a presentation on “Be the change you wish to see and the relevance of peace and non-violence in modern time”. Students lined up to disseminate the message of peace and prosperity. A candle was lit as a symbol of peace. The school choir sang a beautiful song on the theme ‘What a wonderful world’. Jakians also conveyed the message of peace, harmony and unity in diversity through various enactions.
