JAMMU: Jat Kalyan Sabha (J and K) led by its President Ch Kamal Singh mourned the demise of Amarnath Yatris killed in a tragic road accident near Ramsoo on Jammu-Srinagar Highway at a meeting held here. Two minutes silence was observed to pay respect to the departed souls.
Members of the Jat Kalyan Sabha present in the condolence meeting included Ch Paras Ram, Ch Janak Raj, Ch Darshan Singh, Ch Rajesh Kumar, Ch Sat Pal Mattoo, Ch Madan Lal and Ch Pola Ram.
Ch Kamal Singh today visited Government Medical College Hospital Jammu to enquire about the health of Amarnath Yatris injured in the accident and interacted with the doctors treating the injured to know about their condition and line of treatment.
Ch Kamal Singh also attended the cremation ceremony of Darshan Singh, son of Chhajju Ram, resident of Tehsil Bishnah driver of the bus who lost his life while performing his official duty ferrying Amarnath pilgrims. He demanded proper compensation and government job for the family members of Darshan Singh.
