JAMMU: After facing defeat in four matches, Jammu Rising Stars now registered first win against Vishal Club Juniors in the fifth match of the seven-match T20 Cricket series for under-16 boys, organised by Vishal Cricket Club Jammu at Parade Ground, here on Friday.
Jammu Rising Stars outplayed Vishal Cricket Club Juniors by 12 runs.
Batting first, Jammu Rising Stars scored 157 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Kannav played a brilliant inning of 70 runs followed by Laith, who contributed 38 runs and Shivansh Sharma made 15. For Vishal Club Juniors, Sachin claimed four wickets, Rohan Gill took two and Adhishwer Kotwal and Dhruv shared apiece each.
In reply, Vishal Club Juniors tried hard to chase the target but they managed to score 144 runs for the loss of five wickets in the 20 overs. Akshit was the top scorer with 64 runs, Rohan Gill made 35 runs and Sachin Sharma added 12 to the total. Aditya, Shavac and Umar Sadiq took one wicket each for Jammu Rising Stars. Today’s match was officiated by Ashok, Sanju and Vinod.
