JAMMU: J and K Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organisation Ltd (J&K ITCO) organised Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme in Vermiculture and Vermi Compost Making here on Tuesday.
The training programme was organised in association with Sub Divisional Agriculture Office, Marh of the Department of Agriculture. A total of 25 farmers from Marh Block participated in the training programme.
Binoy Kumar, Programme Officer of Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme (STED) Project highlighted the objectives of training programme and also delivered lecture on Traits of Entrepreneur and Entrepreneurship and Project Cost of Micro Units of Vermiculture and Compost Making.
Dr Punit Choudhary of SKAUST-J delivered lecture on various steps required for setting up of Vermiculture and Vermi Compost Units.
Dr Tandon of KVK R S Pura, highlighted the role of KVK in promoting unit of vericompost making.
R.S Jamwal, Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer and Om Parkash also spoke on the occasion.
Four out of 25 farmers identified who will set up their units in Vermi Compost Making. Vote of thanks was extended by R.S Jamwal, Sub Divisional Agri Culture Officer, Marh and assured the identified four trainees to provide financial assistance and technical support in setting up of the units.
