STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Income Tax authorities on Monday conducted surveys of several diagnostic centres, opticians and chemists in Jammu to ascertain whether they were hiding their actual income and indulging in financial malpractices to evade taxes. The IT teams with police contingents conducted simultaneous raids in several prominent centres in Gandhi Nagar, Bakshi Nagar, near Super Specialty Hospital. Till the filing of the report the surveys were going on. According to official sources, IT teams raided the aforesaid establishments at around 4: 00 PM and checked their accounts and other relevant records. Some of the senior doctors associated with these diagnostics centres were also called in by the IT teams to respond to their questions during the surveys.
