SRINAGAR: Madina Public High School (MPHS) Baliharan Pattan won the volleyball tournament organised by IRP 3rd Bn under Civic Action Programme at Pattan, here on Monday.
In the final, MPHS Baliharan Pattan defeated Government Boys High School Gund Khaja Qasim Pattan.
In the closing ceremony, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Pattan, Sarafraz Mohammad was the Chief Guest, who gave away trophies and medals to winner and runner-up teams, besides certificates of participation, sports kits and uniform items to all the participant team members. During the award ceremony, momentous and commendation certificates were also presented to ZEO Singhpora, Principal Madina Public School Baliharan Pattan and Headmaster Government Boys High School Gund Khaja Qasim Pattan.
Commandant IRP 3rd Bn Mehraj-ud-Din thanked teams for their participation in the tournament and said that Jammu and Kashmir police has been organising such event to channelise the talent of youth.
Deputy Commandant, Dr. Salahudin Chowdhary, Deputy Commandant, Mohammad Younis Bhat and Deputy Commandant Mohammad Yaqoob were also present on the occasion.
