UDHAMPUR: Lala Shiv Charan Memorial Club (LSCMC) Udhampur District President Sawpnil Pachayla strongly criticised the wrongful decision of government to include Urdu as compulsory paper. While addressing a press conference, Pachayla condemned the government decision to include Urdu as a compulsory descriptive paper with a weightage of 30 marks in recent syllabus in a recent order issued by the JKSSB. Pachayla alleged that it will have negative repercussions on the J and K job aspirants. Raising strong objections he questioned that why Urdu is made mandatory only to Naib Tehsildar and not for Tehsialdar and other revenue officers who qualify KAS. “We demand to make changes in the syllabus and eliminating Urdu as a compulsory descriptive paper” he said and warned if government does not change the syllabus, club will be constrained to took strong action against the government and shall be responsible for all consequential effects.
