JAMMU: Three young athletes from Jammu, who took part in the First National 400 meters Open Championships, organised by Athletics Federation of India at Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh, have performed exceptionally well and reached the finals.
However, all of them missed the medal. While Abhinav Kundal remained 4th with the timing of 49.93 seconds in under 20 category, Vasu Sapolia finished sixth with a timings of 54.09 seconds in under 16 category. Another athlete, Abrar Choudhary remained 8th with the timing of 55.40 seconds in under-18 age group, a handout issued by the J&K Amateur Athletics Association here on Tuesday informed.
Meanwhile, the State Association congratulated all the athletes for the improved performance in the competition.
