STATE TIMES NEWS SAMBA: An anti-encroachment drive was today carried out by the district administration samba, under the direct supervision of Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ms. Sushma Chauhan IAS, where illegal structures (shops) were demolished. The anti-enchroament drive was effectuated on the prime state land bearing khasra no. 473/200 measuring 04 kanals in village Keranwali of tehsil Ramgarh, which is belonging to Auqaf Islamia. It is pertinent to mention that some locals had illegally occupied the said land and had also raised illegal structures (shops). After facing a strong resentment from the encroachers during the eviction drive, the team of revenue department with help of local Police pressed JCB into the action and demolished all the illegal pacca structures and handed over the retrieved land to the representative of Auqaf department. The necessary fencing of the land has also been completed on the spot as informed by the revenue dept. officials. The anti-enchroachment drive was accomplished by the revenue team headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner samba, Vikas Gupta, Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur, Vijay Sharma and tehsildar Ramgarh. The police contingent was led by SDPO Vijaypur, Baljit Singh and SHO Ramgarh. The administrator Auqaf Islamia Saleem Alam was also present on the spot.
