STATE TIMES NEWS KATHUA: Danesh Rana, IGP IRP/AP Jammu zone on Thursday visited SPS PTS Kathua to take stock of the preparations/arrangements finalised in connection with the ‘Attestation- cum-Passing- out- Parade’ of 26th BRTC Batch to he held on October 14. IGP inspected the parade during the final dress rehearsal where the trainees put up an impressive march pass. In his address to the trainees and staff, IGP appreciated the staff and trainees for presenting outstanding parade and exhorted them to put up their best show. He also lauded the duties performed by trainees during the Panchayat/ULB elections, parliamentary elections and recently concluded special duties in Jammu Zone. He also briefed the trainees to be ready to face the challenges of the field as the present scenario demands utmost vigil and alertness and also to make use of knowledge and skill acquired in the BRTC. After culmination of the parade IGP IRP/AP inaugurated the development and renovation works carried out in the premises of SPS PTS Kathua which included Quarter Guard, Principal Office, Vice Principal Office, AP(Admn) Office, Conference Hall, Dry canteen, Wet Canteen, LO Office, and Trainees Bathing point. Later a colorful cultural programme was presented by the trainees in collaboration with artists from Rang Bhomi Kathua in which various solo/group song, dance presentations in Hindi, Dogri and Punjabi were performed. A felicitation ceremony was also organized in which 12 meritorious wards of police personnel of SPS PTS Kathua were commended with trophies and certificates of appreciation by IGP to boost their morale. In his address Arun Gupta, SSP, Principal PTS Kathua conveyed gratitude to Dilbag Singh, DGP and IGP Armed, Jammu on whose directions Bada Khana was organized. He also assured the IGP IRP/Armed that cogent efforts are afoot to ensure successful conduct of POP function scheduled for October 14. Later Principal accompanied by other gazetted officers felicitated the IGP IRP/Armed by presenting him token of gratitude. Tejinder Singh-SSP Vice Principal presented the vote of thanks. Those who attended the programme were Shridar Patil, SSP Kathua, Randheer Singh (SSP) CO IRP 19th Bn, Prahlad Paswan, CO CRPF 121 Bn, Manish Kumar CO CISF, Vikrant Sharma, CPO Kathua, Nagesh Jamwal, District Treasury Officer, Pardeep Manhas, DC Excise, Lakhanpur, Mohan Lal Kaith, SP Traffic Rural Jammu and Officers of Central Govt. Departments. The arrangements for the programme were ensured by Tejinder Singh, SSP Vice Principal, Satish Kumar, CPO AP(Indoor), Gurmeet Singh, Dy.SP AP(Admn), Vishal Manhas Dy.SP(R&D), Girdhari Lal, Dy.SP(Estates/Security), Sukhdev Singh, Dy.SP AP(Outdoor), Jaipal Singh, Sr.PO, Inspr. Sanjeev Kumar, RI, Inspr. Pawan Parihar, CDI, Inspr. Jagjeet Singh, Lines Officer and other staff.
