JAMMU: Jammu Regional Centre of IGNOU organised a students grievance redressal camp here on Friday.
Hundreds of students visited the Regional Centre whose queries were attended by the team of officials present during the camp. The students came up with a variety of queries and grievances pertaining to assignment updation, practicals, dissertations, old assignments, online admissions, refund of fee, scholarships, SC/ST fee reimbursement, degree/diploma, etc. Majority of the queries were resolved on the spot. The grievances pertaining to the New Delhi Headquarters were taken up with the concerned divisions instantly.
The team of officers comprising of Assistant Regional Directors, Dr. Sandeep Gupta and Dr. Asha Upadhyay under the headship of Dr. Vikram Singh, Regional Director In-charge handled and resolved the students’ grievances on first come first basis on the spot.
The students expressed their happiness and satisfaction about this special initiative of the Regional Centre.
Regional Director Incharge, Dr Vikram Singh, informed that Regional Centre will organise more such camps in the coming months. He also informed that Regional Centre is planning to organise such camps at the level of Learner Support Centres so that students belonging to far off places do not have to travel down to the RC for settlement of their grievances.
It is pertinent to mention that Regional Centre Jammu has a network of 55 active Learner Support Centres covering all ten districts of Jammu province.
