UDHAMPUR: Hind Kesari and Bharat Kesari, Hitesh Kala of Bahadurgarh in Haryana clinched 47th International Roun-Domail Kesari Dangal which was organised by Thill Roun-Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of Om Parkash Verma and Rajinder Singh Ranyal.
Renowned wrestlers from across the country and abroad participated in this Dangal. Winner of the main bout, Hitesh was awarded with cash prize of Rs 71,000 jointly by Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Ravinder Kumar, Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma and General Secretary, District Udhampur Indian Style Wrestling Association, Om Parkash Verma. Runners-up, Benia Min presented with Rs 40,000 by Prithvi Raj Sharma, Sunil Badyal and Rajinder Singh Ranyal.
In all, 35 bouts were played in the day-long Dangal. Dinesh of Delhi declared as best wrestler and gifted five kg Desi Ghee.
SSP Udhampur, Rayees Bhatt, Prithvi Raj Sharma, ASP Faisal Qureshi, former MLA Balwant Singh Mankoita and ARTO Udhampur, Kuldeep Singh were Guests of Honour.
Prominent among others present were DySP Kulbir Honda, Sunil Badyal, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), SHO Udhampur, Sanjeev Gupta, Dhani Ram Atari, Deepak Anand, Yov Raj Katoch and Social Activist, wrestling promoter Ram Paul Sharma.
The second main bout went to Hado of Georgia, who beat Vikram Kotia of Delhi. Hado was awarded with cash prize of Rs 41,000 and Vikram got Rs 30,000. Third main bout was won by Gorgi of Georgia who defeated Ajay Sharma of Udhampur. In another fight for third bout, Nisar of J&K Police beat Parminder of Bahadurgarh, Haryana. Fourth bout was bagged by Ishaq Ahmed (Lallu) of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu who defeated Arun of Panipat. Members and technical officials who helped for smooth conduct of the Dangal include Dharam Singh Ranyal (President Dangal Committee), Om Parkash Verma (Organising Secretary), Rajinder Singh Ranyal, Baldev Singh Ranyal, Ashok Pada, Parsotam Singh, Sohan Singh, Arjun Singh, Parkash Singh, Dara Singh, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Sunil Badyal, Lochan Singh, Sat Paul Verma, Deepak Wazir, Ram Paul Sharma and Sat Bir Singh (BSF Coach).
