Sports Reporter JAMMU: Hiranagar Club and Khalsa Warriors won their respective matches to qualify for the next round of the ongoing Fifth Shaheed Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Hockey Tournament being organised by Kashmir Sikh Sangat under the aegis of Hockey J&K at KK Hakku Stadium, here on Tuesday. Hiranagar Club blanked Champions Club 3-0. Sandeep Singh (12th and 55th minutes) played a key role in big win for Hiranagar. Other goal came through Suraj Singh in the 39th minute. Meanwhile, in another match of the day, Khalsa Warriors, Gole Gujral defeated Lachipura Hockey Club 3-2. Balmeet Singh scored all three goals striking in the sixth, 11th and 57th minutes. For Lachipura, Navjot Singh (37th) and Randeep Singh (38th) minute were the scorers. In today’s matches, K.N Singh (retired XEn), Sukhdev Singh, Draksha Andrabi and Rajeev Sharma (industrialist) were special guests. Today’s matches were officiated by the technical panel including Balmeet Singh, Angad Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Rohit Sharma, Vishal Verma, Anjali Thakur and GS Bakshi (Tournament Director). This tournament is being conducted under the supervision of Tejwant Singh (President Kashmir Sikh Sangat) and Karamjit Singh (Organising Secretary). FIXTURE: National Hockey Club Satwari to meet Ajit Club at 2 PM and Banda Singh Bahadur Club Poonch to take on JK Sports Club at 3 PM tomorrow.
