Jammu: All Jammu Kashmir Headmasters Association held a meeting in a large number of Headmasters present under the chairmanship of Kiran Rajput and in the presidentship of Balwan Singh on Sunday. Election for the constitution of the body was held by the process of nominating the candidature. After the election, General Secretary of the Union Roop Lal raised various genuine demands for the immediate redressal by the Govt, for the betterment of education Deptt as well the employees also.
The issues raised in the meeting include regularisation of Headmasters in toto and abolishing the incharge system completely which is prevailing in the education system at present, categorisation of Headmaster in Non-vocational category as the Headmaster work for the complete year in the summer and as well as winter vacation also, Granting of 5,400 Grade Pay at par with the (10+2) Lecturers instead of 5,200 as the headmaster have much more responsibility as compared to the (10 + 2) Lecturers, changing of Nomenclature from Headmaster to High School Principal which needs nil involvement of finance from the Govt, but is innovative, boosting for the enthusiasm of the cadres.
Prominent among other present in the meeting include Balwan Singh, Bhupinder Shastri, P.L Dubey, Anita Sharma, Rajinder Kumar, Kiran Rajput, Kiran Malhotra, Rita Angral, Ajeet Kour, Raj Rani, Nirmal Sharma, Neelam Sharma, Renu Manhas, Pardeep Kumari, Veenu Gupta, Sudha Kumari, Dalbir Singh, S.D Bhat, Chander Parkash, Renu Sharma, Kuldeep Raj Saini, Rakesh Chander, Suresh Dubey, Subash Chander, Joginder Singh, Abdul Rashid Malik, Vijay Bhasin, Swarna Devi, Kamni Sharma, Kiran Devi, Kamlesh Kumari, Ramesh Sharma, and Susheela Kumari.
