JAMMU: Justice Tashi Rabstan of J and K High Court on Wednesday ordered stay on the attachment Chief Enforcement Officer (CEO) Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) who was attached with Housing and Urban Development Department.
The stay on the operation of the impugned order came in response to a petition filed by Satish Khajuria CEO JMC.
While staying the attachment of Satish Khajuria, Justice Tashi Rabtsan issued notice to Commissioner/Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department, Commissioner JMC and Kamini Kesar Enforcement Officer JMC which were accepted by Deputy AG B.S Jamwal appearing for the state. The High Court judge also directed that the state should file response within one week and in the meanwhile, subject to objections from other side and till next date before the Bench, operation of the impugned order 14/HUD/2015 dated 24th April 2015 (whereby CEO was attached) shall not be acted upon.
