JAMMU: A delegation of All J&K Graduate Engineers Association (Civil) led by State President, Er. Gandeep Pargal on Wednesday met Farooq Shah, Secretary PHE/I&FC and projected various burning issues of graduate engineers. The Secretary was apprised of the problems faced by Engineers which include issuance of SRO for Granting of Assured Career Progression Scheme for Engineers which stand already approved by State Cabinet, filling of all the vacant posts by way of promotions of degree/diploma holders to be made as per prescribed ratio 80:20 in Engg Gazetted Service Rules on available posts , regularisation of services of engineers at all levels to boost the morale of subordinate staff, review of engineering cadre, issuance of clarification regarding entry grade of Junior Engineers due to which they have got another setback during 7th pay commission.
Shah patiently listened the problems and assured that just demands of Graduate Engineers will be fulfilled at the earliest.
