JAMMU: Castigating the notification issued by the government in which they have given two weeks time to the employees to join their duties in Valley, Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) said that government has failed to ensure safety and rehabilitation of 2000 employees and the loud talk of return of the whole community seems a mockery.
Speaking in interaction session with Valley Posted Migrant Employees (VPME), YAIKS President R.K Bhat termed PM’s return, relief and rehabilitation package of Kashmiri Pandits as a mere eyewash and demanded permanent settlement of the employees once for all.
Instead of giving proper heeling touch to the employees, he said, these employees are being harassed by the administration by issuing show cause notices, delay in disbursement of salaries, unnecessarily deducting HRA etc, when it’s the responsibility of government. to provide them safe and secure accommodation.
YAIKS demanded that the VPME and who intend to join under PM’s employment scheme be treated at par with other Kashmiri Migrant Employees till the normalcy is restored and Vision Document launched/released by YAIKS for the welfare of employees titled Aakhir Kab Tak is implemented with letter and spirit.
He also demanded a re-look into the entire structure of the PM’s rehabilitation scheme after a serious dialogue with the concerned representatives of the community.
They served an ultimatum upon the Govt to start dialogue with them otherwise they we will be forced to re-start Nationalwide Direct Action Programme.
