STATE TIMES NEWSR S PURA: All J&K Kissan Congress Chairman and Former Minister Gharu Ram Choudhary expressed concerns over the problems faced by Jammu’s and R S Pura farmers. While addressing the press conference here on Monday Choudhary highlighted the problems and demands of farmers. He said that the government has failed to compensate the farmers to compensate their waste. He demanded that the compensation of his devastated crop to the affected farmers should take steps to give at least five thousand ruppes (5000) per Acres. Apart from this, he has also demanded that current rate of paddy is Rs2300-2400 per quintal which is comparatively very much low with the rates of paddy sold by the rice mills. The rice rate of Paddy should be doubled as promised by the BJP govt.
