JAMMU: Various social and political organisations paid glorious tributes to Pulwama Martyrs here on Friday
Residents of Trikuta Nagar also paid tributes to Pulwama Martyrs. Speaking on the occasion, BJP leader Rajni Rohmetra appealed to people to remember the sacrifices of martyred soldiers. She said that such events will not only refresh contributions of the Army but inspire people to bond themselves with their sacrifices. She said that the whole nation is indebted to Pulwama martyrs for their supreme sacrifice. She asserted that those who attain supreme sacrifices for nation are lucky ones and we must stand by the family members of martyrs so that they don’t feel alienated.
The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DFSS) under leadership of Youth President, Abhishek Gupta paid tributes to martyrs of Pulwama attack. A number of party workers observed silence for few minutes in the memory of over 40 soldiers, who sacrificed their lives in Pulwama attack. Speaking on the occasion, Abhishek Gupta said, “I pay homage to martyrs of Pulwama attack. India will always be grateful to our bravehearts and their families, who made supreme sacrifice for sovereignty and integrity of the motherland.”
Bajrang Dal, Youth Wing of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), J&K unit also paid rich tributes to brave Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldiers who were martyred in a Pakistan-sponsored terrorist attack in Pulwama last year. While paying tributes to martyrs in a programme held at Shakti Ashram Rehari, Naveen Sudan, Sanyojak Bajrang Dal asked youth of the nation particularly Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to join belt forces (Army, Navy and Air Force) in large numbers to serve the country. Bajrang Dal will start a campaign soon to inspire youth for joining belt forces to serve the nation, he added.
Remembering CRPF personnel martyred in Pulwama attack last year, Jammu Kashmir Freedom Fighter Association (JKFFA) extended solidarity with their families. “We solemnly remember CRPF Jawans martyred in Pulwama on this day in 2019 in a terror attack. We salute our brave Jawans and extend solidarity and condolences to their families. Jai Hind,” Chairman of the Association Ved Gandotra said. Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta, “I pay tributes to brave martyrs, who lost their lives in the gruesome Pulwama attack. They were exceptional individuals, who devoted their lives for protecting our nation. India will never forget their martyrdom.” Vice Chairman of JKFFA and SRS J&K President, Rajiv Mahajan said, “We oppose Valentine’s Day celebrations on February 14. This is anti-Indian culture and, therefore, must be banned.” Others who paid tribute to martyrs included R C Puri President JKFFA, Th Karnail Chand, Rajinder Singh, J J Singh, S S Baloria, Dr Karan Gupta, Pritam Sharma, Yog Raj Padha, Rohit Bajrangi, Sat Pal Sharma, Deepak Sharma, Deepak Singh, Ranjana Gandotra, Marvi Gupta and Parmod Kapahi.
Nat Manch also paid tribute to 40 CRPF Jawans, who lost their lives in Pulwama terror attack. Nat Manch Samba District President, Ranjeet Singh Rajput said that martyrs devoted their precious lives in the service of nation and made supreme sacrifice. Country will never forget their sacrifices, he added. Nat Manch President, Tarun Sharma said, “Coming generations will always remain grateful of the bravehearts, who made supreme sacrifice for sovereignty and integrity of our motherland.” Others present on the occasion included Mohit Sharma, Ankit Gupta, Sanjay Kumar and Dr Sanju Lal Sahu.
Youth Wing of NCP also paid tributes to Pulwama martyrs who laid their lives for the country. Rishi Kilam, National Joint Secretary and Spokesperson J&K Youth Wing NCP said that history will not forget the attack, wherein our 40 brave soldiers were martyred while on duty. Others who attended the meeting included Kamal Gupta, J&K President NCP, Manu Mahajan, T K Kaul Vice President, Tariq Naar District President NCP, Billoweria General Secretary and Mashqur Bhat Vice President.
