SAMBA: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash on Sunday inaugurated construction work of platform with boundary walls at Teli Basti, in Bari Brahmana.
The Rural Development Department shall execute the project in convergence mode including Rs 10 lakh provided by the minister out of his Constituency Development Fund.
On the occasion, Ganga directed officials to ensure that good quality vitrified tiles are used in construction work. He asked them to include community members in formulation of village development plans at the Gram Sabha level.
He said that upgrading rural infrastructure is pivotal in improving the rural economy and urged departments to work in better coordination.
The minister was accompanied by BDO Bari Brahmana Danish Rassol Mir and other officials from Rural Development Department.
