STATE TIMES NEWSAKHNOOR: Students of St. Francis Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor, made the school proud by excelling in class VIII exams, result of which was declared recently by DIET Jammu. A total of twenty five students starting with Shika Pawar got second position, Bhawana Choudhary, Komal Gupta and Puneet Singh got third position, Ashish Kallu got fourth position, Disha Chib, Enkita Sharma, Sneha Verma, Sourabh Sharma and Anshu Sharma got fifth position, Sudeep Mangotra got sixth position, Cheril, Mehak Sharma, Vanshika Sharma and Adithyan got seventh Position, Suhani Mannar, Ritika Rajput, Sunakshi Rajput and Tanvi Bhagat got eighth position, Harshita Sharma, Ishita Jamwal, Aman Sharma, Divyansh Manhas, Vasu Kesar and Divyansh Sharma got tenth position respectively. In the last academic year 2018-19, 152 students appeared for 8th board exam. All the students made their parents and the school proud with their achievements. Fr. J. Stalin Raj, the Principal of the School, appreciated all the students and honoured the position holders in the morning assembly. He also congratulated all other students and consoled those brilliant students who expected positions in the board exam but unfortunately could not get the desired results. He however encouraged and wished them good luck to work hard so that they can prove themselves in the coming days of their schooling. A special word of thanks and appreciation was mentioned by the Principal to the teachers who were the mentors of these students and helped them to be the shining stars. Fr. Stalin also thanked all the parents for their wholehearted cooperation and appreciated them for being the strong support.
