JAMMU: Female Multipurpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) on Tuesday held a strong protest at Director Health Services, Jammu complex.
The protestors led by Neelam Kumari, President FMPHW Welfare Association and Sushil Sudan President JKMEF raised anti government slogans said that until a permanent solution of salary of 2211 Head is not done by the government they will not participate in the MR Vaccine and continue their protest.
Their others demands are Delinking the CSS Salary from the funding sources and release the pending salary since March 2018.
They also demanded that the job functions of FMPHWs must be fixed at par other working categories of Health Sector, upgradation for the post of FMPHW on the analogy of Pharmacist, Lab. Tech. X-Ray Tech, Dental Tech. and Ophth. Tech. Creation of post of LHVs in New PHCs and Seniority list of FMPHWs be published in the official website of the Health Department for bringing transparency in promotions, etc.
Neelam Kumari demanded intervention of the government for permanent solution failing which the FMPHWs of Jammu province were left with no option and the protest may be converted into indefinite strike.
