JAMMU: Female Multipurpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) on Wednesday Gheraoed the Office of Chief Medical Officer, Jammu to protest the failure of government in resolving their demands.
Continuing their district wise protest on third day on Wednesday, female multipurpose health workers assembled at Madam Shashi Bala Memorial Park under the leadership of Sushil Sudan, President Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation.
The protesting female multipurpose workers raised slogans in support of their demand to release pending salaries. Later, protesters entered the Office of Chief Medical Officer, Jammu Dr. Robinder Khajuria and apprised him of their grievances and submitted a memorandum also.
The Chief Medical Officer assured the employees that he will take up the matter with the higher authorities for redressal.
Simultaneously the protests were held at all District Headquarters of Jammu Province under the leadership of JKMEF/ FMPHW Welfare Association leaders which include Abdul Hamid Bhatt, Bhanu Sharma, Shakti Devi, Lalita Devi, Abida (Reasi), Dheraj Sharma, Mahima Devi, Nancy Bhan, Santosh, Sudesh Kumari (Udhampur), Neeraj Malagar, Shub Lata, Poli Devi, Bharti, Sanjay Verma, Devinder Kumar, Joginder Lal, Sanjeevan Sharma (Kathua), Kuldeep Dabgotr, Kamla Devi (Samba), S. Balbir Singh (Poonch), Farooq Mirza, Adarsh Sharma, Parveen Akhter, Robina Kouser, Sehnaz Akhter, Sayima Kouser (Rajouri), Mohd. Akhter (Ramban), Amjad Ali Shoukeen (Doda), Ajit Kumar Sharma and Javid (Kishtwar).
