JAMMU: BJP Kashmir Displaced District (KDD) observed Balidan Divas of Amar Shaheed Tika Lal Taploo here on Wednesday. The party besides Tika Lal Taploo paid homage to Prem Nath Bhat and other martyrs including security forces personnel who became victims of terrorism in Kashmir since 1989 or before that.
While paying homage to Martyrs, BJP State President and MLA Sat Sharma expressed his gratitude to Martyrs who attained Martyrdom since 1989 or before, including the security forces personnel who were killed while fighting with terrorism in Kashmir. He assured the people that BJP will help displaced people in mitigating their miseries. He said those days are not far when displaced people will return back to their Kashmir with dignity and honour and the party will leave no stone unturned in solving the problems of hapless people who were forced to leave the Kashmir.
General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul also paid tributes to all Martyrs who laid their lives in Kashmir for the cause of nation. He recalled the days when he was working with Tika Lal Taploo in Srinagar and said that he was a nationalist par excellence.
MLC Surinder Ambardar, MLC Girdhari Lal Raina, Ashtosh Taploo, son of Tika Lal Taploo and Chand Jee Bhat, President BJP KDD also paid homage to Tika Lal Taploo and other Martyrs.
Ravinder Kumar Raina (Razdan) Vice President presented vote of thanks.
Kamal Warkoo Vice President of Yuva Morcha compered the programme.
Sunita Koul Arrora was felicitated with a Scenery for her bravery work.
Sarla Taploo widow of Tika Lal Taploo, Sweety President Mahila Morcha, Dolly, Baby, Anjali Raina, Sanjay Bhat, Ravinder Bhan, Ramesh Koul, Rakesh Sadhu, Susheel, Chaman Lal Koul, Ashok Koul, Vijay Raina, Sunil Bhat, Makhan Lal, Bharat Bushan Bhat and Rakesh Bhat were also present.
Meanwhile, Panun Kashmir also paid tributes to Martyrs on the occasion of Balidan Divas here today.
While remembering the martyrdom of Tika Lal Tiploo and others martyrs, President Panun Kashmir Vijay Bhat said that the best way of paying tributes to our martyrs is to carry forward the legacy of Homeland movement among younger generations and keep them abreast of the happenings of 1989 and 1990 alive and keep their wounds fresh and green.
