JAMMU: A Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Sanjay Kumar Gupta directed Senior Additional Advocate General to file an affidavit on behalf of all Deputy Commissioners of Jammu Province, as to what action has been taken by them for the purpose of closure of Brick Kilns, pursuant to the information provided by the Pollution Control Board.
The court direction came in a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed for highlighting degradation of environment due to the activities of brick kilns.
Advocate Munish Sharma appeared for the PIL while Senior Additional Advocate General H.A Siddiqui represented the State.
