JAMMU: The district wise protest organised by female multipurpose health workers on Friday entered in the fifth consecutive day seeking release of their pending salaries.
Led by Sushil Sudan, President Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation, the female multipurpose health workers assembled at Madam Shashi Bala Memorial Park and raised slogans in support of their demands.
Secretary General JKMEF, Vinod Sharma strongly condemned the State Government’s irresponsible behavior towards struggling FMPHWs.
“It’s a sheer mockery that at on one hand schemes and programmes are launched for women empowerment and at the same time the women who are working round the clock for rendering better health facilities to the society are left without salaries for more than a year,” he added.
Neelam Kumari General Secretary FMPHW Welfare Association, Abdul Hamid Bhatt, Bhanu Sharma, Shakti Devi, Lalita Devi, Abida (Reasi), Kiran Kaur, Hardeep Kaur, Mumtaz Begum (Poonch), Rekha Rani, Suriya, Sunita, Sapna, Promila, Sabita, Mamta (Jammu), Dheraj Sharma, Mahima Devi and Nancy Bhan also joined the protest
