Excise officials destroying Lahan.

KATHUA: The Excise Department on Wednesday destroyed 800 Kg Lahan during raids here.
On the directions of the Excise Commissioner, Mohammad Javed Khan and supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu, Syed Muried Hussain Shah, the Excise team Kathua led by ETO Excise Range Kathua, Vikas Anand, Inspectors Excise Arun Kumar and Sanjeev Khajuria, SI Amit Sharma, along with excise guards Rajinder Singh, Mohinder Kumar and Om Dutt raided the Upper Sakta Chak and Mahi Chak areas of Kathua District to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor. In the process, about 15 litres of illicit liquor and more than 800 Kg Lahan were recovered by the raiding team from the State land. Later, the excise team destroyed the recovered Lahan on spot.
