KATHUA: A meeting of J and K Ex Services Welfare Association Core Committee members was held at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park to discuss the Notification issued by the Govt of India on Tuesday.
Col P.L Choudhary (retd) founder Chairman of the Association explained the salient features of the notification to the members of the association.
Col P.L Choudhary while speaking to media personnel thanked Govt of India for issuing the notification for implementation of 40 years long pending demand of Ex servicemen. However, ESM were not happy about the clause of revision of pension after every five years and refixation of pension on the basis of average minimum and maximum. He said it would have fully satisfied the ESM had the govt considered revision of pension after every two years and refixation of pension on the basis of average of maximum pension. He appealed to the govt of India to look into these important aspects sympathetically issue corrigendum to the above notification at the earliest.
