Chennai, Nov 10 (PTI) The global rights of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s multi-lingual flick ‘Lingaa’, scheduled to hit screens next month, has been bagged by Mumbai-based Eros International Media Ltd.
Dubbed to be an action-thriller, the movie apart from Rajinikanth doing dual roles, has Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha making her debut in Tamil film industry.
The movie also has Anushka Shetty, Santhanam and a host of other film actors and actresses. It is directed by noted film director K S Ravi Kumar.
Double Oscar winner A R Rahman is composing the music while camera is handled by R Rathnavelu.
“Eros International Media Ltd has acquired the worldwide rights of Lingaa. Eros will release the film globally in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages”, a press release said.
Eros International Media and Mediaone Global Entertainment Ltd had earlier released the movie ‘Kochadaiiyan’ directed by Rajinikanth’s second daughter Soundarya A Rajinikanth.
Soundarya A Rajinikanth joined Eros International as its Director (Creative and Strategy).
The audio launch of ‘Lingaa’ is scheduled to be released on November 16 in Chennai along with the trailer. Music rights of the film across the languages have been acquired by Eros Music, it said.
Eros International will release the film on Rajinikanth’s birthday December 12 this year, the release said.
