STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Co-Chairman PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu Region and President Hotels & Restaurants Association, Katra Rakesh Wazir called on Chairman and CEO J&K Bank, Parvez Ahmed and had detailed discussion with regard to the working of the bank including liberal financing, initiatives under social responsibility scheme, New Industrial Development Scheme floated recently by the government and bringing of its awareness among the entrepreneurs especially the new ones. Wazir, while speaking on the occasion, said that the new industrial package has been announced and since it is for a limited period, its maximum utilisation should be done so that more and more entrepreneurs of the state get benefitted out of it and that is possible only if J&K Bank comes in full support of the entrepreneurs with the liberal financing. It should be expedited further so that maximum people be able to complete their projects on time and avail the incentives so that maximum employment in the State could be generated, he added. He further said that J&K Bank is the backbone of J&K’s economy and the level of presence of J&K Bank can be judged from the fact that when we talk about banking in J&K State particularly in rural areas, people relate it to J&K Bank only and J&K Bank too has left no stone un turned for bringing economy of the State on track and it has helped people by doing liberal financing and by providing other Tailor made schemes. He requested CEO that mass campaign is required to be launched with regard to these new incentives enabling their utilization in full. Parvez Ahmed listened to Wazir patiently and assured that Bank will leave no stone unturned for the development of the Industry in the State particularly the Tourism/Service Sector and although the system is very fast as far as financing and other activities of the bank are concerned but still directions down the line will be passed for expediting those further. He said that it is very important that more and more people should invest in the State more particularly when new industrial incentives too have come and set up their units so that maximum employment is generated and the younger generation may get maximum work opportunities. He stressed for a joint campaign by J&K Bank, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry & Hotel Association in the shape of a seminar fully sponsored by the Bank and arranged by PHDCCI & HRAK as first step, wherein top functionaries of the state including Governor be invited for inauguration or valediction and the other top functionaries including Advisor/s concerned, Chief Secretary and the top functionaries of Industry, Tourism & Finance department besides experts in the line be invited for their lectures, comments, views and cross discussions so that more and more people may get aware with regard to these incentives and how those are to be availed and the difficulties with regard to their availment be discussed under one roof.
