LEH: Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) LAHDC Dorjey Motup exhorted upon District Immunization Officers and Executive Councillors and Councillors for ensuring wide awareness programmes supporting Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign.
Looking at the importance of national vaccination programme targeting children from 9 months to less than 15 years, CEC Motup urged upon all the councillors to spread the information about this campaign in all the villages of their respective constituencies before-hand and assure 100% attendance of both medical and education departments staff on the campaign day as per the scheduled programme. Though the campaign date is yet to be declared, he further gave directions that no one child should be left without vaccination during the month long campaign. Earlier, District Immunisation Officer, Leh, Dr Tashi Namgail gave a detailed account about Measles-Rubella vaccination campaign through presentation.
Dy CMO Leh, Dr Manzoor informed that MR vaccination campaign is targeted to children from 9 months to less than 15 years and will be followed by introduction of MR vaccine in their respective routine immunization programme.
Later, the participants gave suggestions about publicity channels and also assured to work on their own level to spread the information and assured full cooperation on the campaign day.
