SRINAGAR: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone, on Monday directed the officers to ensure that no auto-rickshaw plies without having fare meters installed within the territorial limits of the district.
He was speaking at a District Road Safety Council (SRSC) meeting convened to review the measures for road safety in the district. The DC directed RTO Kashmir to start an intense drive to install digital meters in Auto rickshaws so that passengers are benefitted. He also directed for publishing the fare rates in all leading newspapers.
