Dear Editor, Encounter killings’ of the four accused in the rape and murder of a veterinarian in Hyderabad by the police is quite worrisome. It opens a pandora of questions. People celebrating must understand that such an act is in no way solution to this grave problem. And in this case unfair justice has been delivered. No one is required to take law in his hands. After all, law is supreme and above all. People must not become insensitive and judiciary must take its own course of action. People supporting the step taken by Cyberabad police raises a concern that they are losing faith in the judiciary as we are very well aware of the fact that the Nirbhaya’s case convicts still await punishment. Only framing of laws will bear no fruit , until and unless they are implemented on the ground. Hence, public in large must understand this, that it is the role of judiciary to provide justice to the people and taking law into hands is in no way a solution as it will pave way for ruckus in the society.
