JAMMU: J and K State Government Employees, Casual Labourers, Workers and Pensioners United Platform decided to hold protest on 25th April near Press Club Jammu to press of the State Government regarding framing of regularisation policy for 61,000 casual labours as per the announcement made by the State Finance Minister on the floor of the House on 11th January 2017 and the assurance that SRO regarding regularisation will be issued by first week of April.
“Since the government has failed to issue the SRO regarding regularisation as per the commitment thus forcing the united platform to announce the programme and to come out on the streets again,” Mohammad Gafoor Dar, State Convenor of the Forum, told reporters here on Friday.
Dar warned the authorities to release the pending wages without further delay otherwise face agitation.
Rajinder Kumar, Akhil Sharma, Puneet Sharma, Pardeep Singh, Vikramjeet Singh, Tanveer Hussain and Nazir Ahmed Molvi appealed to all the casual labourers of various departments to participate the rally being held in Press Club on 25th April at 10:00 AM.
