STATE TIMES NEWS SURANKOTE: Eight under construction shops being built on forest land were demolished on Friday by Forest Department officials in Surankote area of Poonch district. A team of forest department officials led by Range Officer Surankote Nissar Ahmad, Taib Tehsildar Surankote Tariff Hussain Shah under the overall supervision of DFO Poonch Mohan Choudhary launched a demolishing drive in Surankote area. During the drive, the team demolished eight under construction shops at Jaranwali Gali near JNV School. Range Officer Surankote Nissar Ahmad said that with the demolition of the shops, about 1 kanal of forest land was retrieved.
