JAMMU: Employment Development Programme (EDP) for Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) beneficiaries course conducted by SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI-RSETI) Jammu concluded here on Thursday.
The training programme was sponsored by Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC) Jammu in which 26 candidates from different parts of Jammu District participated. On the occasion, a function was organized in which certificates of participation were distributed by Bhupendera Singh, Lead District Manager, SBI, ZO, Jammu.
Singh elaborated the benefits of the PMEGP scheme and also gave quick responses of the queries raised by the candidates.
R.L Lochan, FLCC, SBI Jammu motivated the candidates about self employment and also encouraged to extend employment in their business ventures.
Tilak Raj, Director RSETI explained the value of RSETI in the area of self employment and explained about other skill development programmes being run by the institute. He stressed upon digital banking and suggested the candidates to go for cashless transactions in future.
