STATE TIMES NEWS SRINAGAR: A Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Rashid Ali Dar on Wednesday observed that Union of India through Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, would be a necessary party for effective adjudication of the issues raised in a Public Interest Litigation filed by Mushtaq Ahmed Shah seeking directions to the authorities to allow the use and sale of Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) or e-cigarettes. The court while considering the PIL directed for impleadment of Union of India through Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi, as party respondent and directed the same to file objections within six weeks.
