STATE TIMES NEWS UDHAMPUR: Trials for district level inter school competition for girls u-19 years in the disciplines of kabbadi, kho kho, volleyball and tug of war were conducted at Subash Stadium, here on Thursday. In all, 96 girls drawn from 14 government as well as private institutions of district Udhampur took part in the trials. While interacting with the players and the field staff, Swarn Singh, District Officer (DYSS) Udhampur, who was the Chief Guest, stressed upon the participants not to miss any oppertunity to take part in such type of sports activities to become physically and mentally fit. The trials were conducted under the overall supervision of DYSSO Udhampur. The selected players will participate in the divisional level inter-district competition later on. All the trials were conducted by Raj Kumar, Rishi Kumar and Rakesh Sahwney. Others present were Sunil Khajuria, Raman Gupta, Pushap Kumar, Kuldip Kumar, Manik Nargotra, Bikram Singh, Santosh Kumari ZPEO Udhampur, Satish Kumar ZPEO Babey, Jaswinder Singh, Sanjay Gupta, Jatin Sethi, Kanchan Kumari, Anupama Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Somdev, Bandana Sharma, Asha, Meenakshi, Pallavi Magotra and Kranti.
