STATE TIMES NEWS SRINAGAR: Police on Friday arrested two drug peddlers and recovered narcotics from their possession in two separate incidents. According to reports, a drug peddler was arrested today in South Kashmir’s Anantnag District. “One person identified as Umer Jan, resident of Zewan Srinagar was arrested for drug offences during Naka checking at Bijbehara,” a Police official said. Police has seized bottles of ‘Rexcof’ from his possession. A case FIR No 25/19 under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Bijbehara against the accused. Meanwhile, one more person was arrested for drug peddling in Srinagar in another incident. The drug peddler has been identified as Nisar Ahmad, son of Manzoor Ahmad, resident of Khimber. Police has seized 900 grams of Bhang and 50 grams Charas from his possession. A case FIR No 8/19 under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Zakura against the accused.
