RAJOURI: Rajouri Police on Friday nabbed two drug peddlers recovering 32 grams of brown sugar from their possession.
Based on a specific input, sleuths of Special Operation Group (SOG) Rajouri and team from Chingus Police Post under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Jaswant Singh laid a trap and intercepted two persons who were put to frisking and 32 grams of brown sugar was seized from them.
During questioning, they were identified as Bashir Ahmed, son of Abdul Ghani, resident of Gonthal Surankote, at present Badhoon Rajouri and Javid Hussain, son of Tassadaq Hussain, resident of Thannamandi.
A case FIR 433/2017 Under Sections 8,21 and 22 NDPS Act has been registered in Rajouri Police Station.
SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas directed DySP Hqrs Jaswant Singh and Incharge Police Post SI Fareed Ahmed to conduct thorough questioning of both the arrested peddlers to unearth all their links and also to nab people who are associated with the duo in this trade.
SSP Rajouri also appealed to general public to share information of people involved in drug peddling so that more stringent action can be initiated against them besides he also assured complete secrecy of identity of people who come forward to share information with police.
