JAMMU: An Inter-house ‘Dohawali’ Competition was held in Delhi Public School (DPS) Nagbani to mark the commencement of Hindi Diwas.
Dohawali was organised to hallmark the event in which students participated actively. The event was truly inspired to lay emphasis on the preservation of our culture and moral values, strongly believing in the notion that values are the root of Indian legacy and children the index of tomorrow.
The students from classes V to VIII were asked to recite Doha’s of eminent poets.
The winners of the event were felicitated and enthused by the Principal of the School, R.K Verma.
He highlighted the importance of Hindi as the official language and its greatness. He expressed that every language has its beauty and Hindi particularly as a language has connected people across continents due to its simplicity.
