JAMMU: As you all know that the parents and the school are the two facets of the same coin, who have to work together for the growth and development of the children. Keeping this in mind, Delhi Public School (DPS) Udhampur organised a New Parent Orientation on Saturday.
Parents were welcomed by the Chairman of the School, Dr. J.C Gupta followed by the Principal, Bindu Sharma who emphasized on the much required parenting skills in the fast paced world and on its importance.
She also spoke about school pedagogy and importance of education and introduced the various coordinators, the teaching staff and non-teaching staff to the parents. She also briefed parents about course curriculum based on holistic approach and the multi-disciplinary teaching methodology.
She emphasized and requested the parents, to follow ‘Learning by doing approach’.
A small cultural programme in the form of Sufi dance, songs and western dance was also presented. The coordinators of the school discussed about their respective areas.
The Vice Principal of the School, Sucheta Gupta shared her views regarding the role of school life in any child’s life which helps him/her to become a matured and confident individual.
The orientation ended with a vote of thanks by the Vice Principal.
