VIJAYPUR: Congress demanded strict punishment for the rapists of Kathua case and to run the case in fast track court.
Referring to the statement of a National Conference (NC) leader about Congress, former Minister, Manjeet Singh said, National Conference should look into itself first and then give statements about Congress which always promote brotherhood, national intergration and above all believes in nation first, not only through words but from actions also by sacrificing their leaders.
Speaking in a public meeting at village Gagore here, Manjeet further said that Congress will not compromise on secularism at any cost as it is not power hungry political party but party for the development of India. “NC is a party which can do anything for power, its elected Member of Legislative Assembly raised slogans in favour of Pakistan and no action had taken till date against,” he said.
Today NC talks about bortherhood, secularism but what happened to its values when Omar Abdullah joined BJP as a minister in Union Government, he question.
NC leaders, right from top who did not condemned the incident of Kathua rape case. He said, when seeing whole India is on boil changed their colour and expelled its member from party.
“NC should have taken action against such member earlier itself,” he said.
“NC is a power hungry party and can join any party for power by comprising the core values, which they are talking now,” senior Congress leader said.
He stressed that Congress Party has absolutely rejected the policies of BJP and in no condition it can compromise on its values in future.
He thanked the people of J&K for maintaining the peace and come out in large numbers in support of Kathua rape victim.
He said, the aftermath of this incident has cleared the minds of various parties, like BJP, NC and other fringe groups, that people of Jammu are peace loving and against all those who are favouring rapists.
He appealed to the people that it is time to teach those power seekers by rejecting their policies and come out openely against them.
Singh asked all to convey this message to other peoples also and make it a mass movement against these parties.
