SAMBA: Dogra Law College, Bari Brahmana, on Tuesday organised Scholarship Award Ceremony in the college auditorium in which scholarship cheques amounting to Rs 1,25,000 were distributed among 25 students of different semesters of BA LLB 5 Years Course and LLB 3 Years Professional Course. Prof. Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu and Seema Shekhar, Senior Additional Advocate General were the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour respectively on the occasion. Welcome address was delivered by Dr. Komila Aggarwal, Officiating Principal of the College.
The Chief Guest congratulated the meritorious students for their academic brilliance in the field of legal education. He also said that basic legal education should be made compulsory to all. Seema Shekhar said that scholarship acts as a prop for the students to achieve excellence in life and nurtures them to move forward. She also added that the only method to excel in life is to strengthen your routes like a tree and work hard in life. The function was presided over by Gulchain Singh Charak, Chairman Dogra Educational Trust. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary DET, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Member Trustee, Bela Thakur, Principal Dogra Degree College and Dr. Vikesh Sharma, Principal Dogra College were also present on the occasion. Vote of thanks was presented by Shuchi Sharma, Lecturer Dogra Law College.
