STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Dogra Front and Shiv Sena on Friday staged a protest against the remarks made by the 2010 IAS Topper Shah Faesal against the killings in Kashmir and marginalization of Indian Muslims. Led by Ashok Gupta, the workers assembled near Rani Park area and raised slogans against the government. Gupta stated that rather than criticising the army for its efforts to save the nation from terrorists, he should have shown the courage and conviction to condemn and denounce the act of terrorism and perpetrators of terrorism. He further stated that words like these coming from a man whose father had been killed by the terrorists is nothing less than hypocrisy as the so called locals for whom he is showing such empathy are the ones who aid and abide the terrorists. On a terror site where an operation is going on between army and militants these so called locals go there to pelt stones upon the army so that the terrorists can escape, he added. Gupta stated that before making the selection of any IAS or civil servant their backgrounds should be briefly checked regarding their past actions, as this move by Shah has downplayed our country in front of neighbouring countries as before getting selected for the IAS Shah Faesal used to write big slogans in favour of the stone pelters. Among those who joined the protest include Bodh Raj, Vijay Kumar, Bantu, Vikram Singh, Sham Kumar and Bunty.
