JAMMU: Dogra Degree College, Bassi Kalan, organised a Essay Writing Competition on the eve of National Youth Day in the College premises on Friday.
Birthday of the Swami Vivekanand is celebrated as National Youth Day on the 12th January every year.
The themes chosen for the essay writing competition were Youth for Digital India for the BBA students, Celebrating Diversity in Unity for BA students and Youth for Drugs Free World for the B.Com students.
A total of 120 students participated in the event.
Ritwik Sharma of BBA 1st semester was adjudged first, Ravneet Kour of B.A 1st semester was declared second and Manminder Kour of BBA 6th semester was declared third.
The judges of the event were Aradhana Sharma, Rajni Kumari, Kanchan Dubey, Rabia Arora Ghai and Vaishali Gupta faculty of Dogra Degree College.
Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust appreciated the initiative taken by Bela Charak, Principal Dogra Degree College and the faculty members for conducting this event.
