POONCH: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Mandeep K Bhandari on Fridayvisited Malti, Degwar and Maldiana areas near LOC to meet defense personnel and border inhabitants.
On the occasion, he interacted with the affected families of LOC ceasefire violation and took stock of the situation prevailing there.
The Divisional Commissioner said that administration is working round the clock to resolve the hardships of border residents. Further strengthening of support infrastructure and facilities will be undertaken in the coming days, he added.
Dr Bhandari directed the civil administration to maintain effective coordination with defense forces to facilitate evacuation and rehabilitation of effected people during shelling incidents.
Deputy Commissioner, Tariq Ahamad Zargar, SSP Poonch Rajiv Panday, officers from army and district administration accompanied the divisional commissioner during his visits to LoC areas.
